Autoimmunity
What do you do when the body destroys itself?
Ground Zero. It’s the point in time when viruses, stress, injuries, events, and exposures happen – turning genetics on and confusing the body into mounting an attack. It’s war – a war of the immune system on the body that often goes undetected until things markedly deteriorate.
The average span of time for a diagnosis of autoimmunity is 4.5 years. According to the American Autoimmune Related Diseases Association. During these 4.5 years, people see an average of 4 doctors. 4 doctors. 4.5 years. That’s a long time to suffer.
And then what happens? Anti-inflammatories? Immunosuppressants? Often, absolutely nothing.
Most autoimmune diagnoses are a simple blood test (or just a few). With that information, it becomes much easier to know what to do, how to quiet the immune system (without suppressing it), and get you back to that Ground Zero.
It’s not hard at all. And the treatments work WITH the body to improve, and often restore normal function.
